West Ham have finally completed the re-signing of Alex Song from Barcelona after a fortnight or so of umm-ing and ah-ing.

The 27-year-old Cameroon midfielder spent last season on loan at Upton Park, impressing in patches, before returning to the Camp Nou over the summer.

He took a bit of convincing, but Song has since agreed to spend another year at the Hammers, this time under new coach Slaven Bilic.

Here’s a photo of Song singing on the dotted line while dressed depressingly sensibly…

According to the man himself, his main reason for returning was the “great rapport” he shares with the West Ham fans.

He follows Pedro Obiang, Dimitri Payet, Darren Randolph, Carl Jenkinson, Manuel Lanzini, Angelo Ogbonna and Stephen ‘not the snooker one’ Hendrie in joining the Hammers as they gear up for their final season at the Boleyn Ground.
