Okay, maybe ‘leaps out’ is a tad over-dramatic. It’s just that ‘Becks repeatedly sidles sheepishly into a photobooth with a rubber duck in his hand’ didn’t make for a particularly snazzy headline. Don’t hate the player and all that…

Any road up, as part of Adidas’ pre-Olympic #takethestage promo, they rigged up a photobooth in a shopping centre next to the Olympic Park in East London for fans to get their photos taken in Team GB clobber and show their support – that was until some Hairy Herbert kept wandering out into every shot…

Aww, isn’t he lovely?

Good stuff, though with Becks’ rootin’-tootin’ facial hair situation (though it’s not nearly as ‘cowpoke’ as it’s been recently) you could be forgiven for thinking you were actually just watching CCTV footage from the ‘Old Times’ wild west photo booth at the Kentucky State Fair.

Now if you’ll excuse us, we’ve got a sudden hankerin’ for a root beer and two fingers of Red Eye to wash down the trail dust.

Pretty sure I’d be a blubbering wreck myself if I ever met him. What an incredibly photogenic man he is, too.

Imagine having the ability to make people cry by simply standing in front of them or saying hello!

I suppose it’s understandable for kids, but wow, adults crying/shellshocked at meeting a stranger. Sad bastards.

perhaps the child’s home was burgled by a man in a david beckham mask and it was bringing it all back.

I fucking hate United, but David Beckham and his wonder goal from a free kick vs Greece. I’d shake his hand and probably try my best not to seem overwhelmed.
