Real Madrid whupped a hopeless Athletic Bilbao 5-1 at the Bernabeu yesterday evening, with Bilbao defender Jon Aurtenetxe notching Los Blancos’ sweetest goal of the night – stealing in after Karim Benzema had bought Luka Modric’s glorious 60-yard pass under and lobbing the ball deftly over his own keeper to open proceedings…

   Bilbao are a shadow of the team they were last season, a shame because they played breath taking stuff at times.
