In which, over in the Qatari league, El Jaish’s Brazilian keeper Evanildo somehow manages to put a simple clearance from just inside his area out for a corner 16 yards back and on the complete opposite side of his goal…

   Very ugly kick but, from where the ball was placed, it was free kick rather than a goal kick.

   The Laws of the Game police would require the free kick to be retaken since the ball was never in play before it went over the touchline.
