Shame you can’t see Rummenigge’s “sexy knees” in this photo

As unearthed by those wunderbar chaps over at When Saturday Comes, here’s a glorious slice of 1980s football pop in the shape of a tribute song to legendary Bayern Munich forward Karl-Heinz Rummenigge by British husband and wife pop duo Alan & Denise.

Embedding’s a no-no so you’ll have to travel outside the safe confines of Pies to douse your ears in perfection. Here it is.

A bit of useless info for you: ‘Rummenigge’ got as high as #43 in the German charts in April of 1983, sadly proving to be Alan & Denise’s only ‘hit’.
