In which Peter Abrahamsson, goalkeeper for Swedish second division side Örgryte, is sent off after a full 44 seconds of his side’s game against Hammarby for what can only be described as a good, old-fashioned “howler” – tear-arsing out of his goal toward a bouncing ball and thumping it back up the pitch despite being a clear couple of yards outside his area…

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Lost your bearing a bit there champ?

Pretty good poker face though – you’d swear from his expression after the whistle that he had no idea he’d done anything amiss.

I thought it was always a yellow for the keeper handling outside the box?

The striker was level with the defender so it was hardly a Clear Goalscoring Opportunity…

  3. Herman says:

@Jarren It is a clear goalscoring opportunity when the goal is completely unprotected due to the keeper not being there.
