Hull City Midfielder David Meyler Hacks Down Southampton Mascot During Half-Time Relay Race (Video)

By Chris Wright

As a bit of fun for their matchday mascots, Southampton held a half-time relay race during their recent tonking of Hull City, in which two teams of kids hurtled around the perimeter of the pitch in a bid to snaffle themselves some prizes.

Everything was going swimmingly and everybody was having fun – right up until the moment Hull midfielder David Meyler emerged from the tunnel for the second half and put a stop to all of that when he mercilessly poleaxed one of the kids in full flight and quickly relieved him of possession in one fell swoop…

Once a midfield scrapper, always a midfield scrapper.
