Queens Park Rangers 2-0 Burnley – Premier League – 6th December 2014
In what has been a poor season for QPR so far, Charlie Austin has been a rare positive, and once again the striker was instrumental in the Hoops’ home win against Burnley.
The visitors did have the better of the first-half, but they failed to make the most of their good play. Then, early in the second-half, Austin set up Leroy Fer to put the hosts in front. Austin then netted himself to seal the deal for Harry Redknapp’s side, although action-packed afternoon wasn’t over yet, with a second yellow card seeing the striker sent off. However, Rangers held on to secure a vital three points.
The result sees QPR one point clear of the drop-zone while Sean Dyche’s strugglers are now 19th, two points away from safety.
