It’s taken him 10 games, but Valencia boss Gary Neville has finally secured a La Liga victory, courtesy of Valencia’s hard-fought 2-1 win against Espanyol at the Mestalla. Indeed, Neville had to work hard for the three points, with the former England star roaring on his players from the sidelines.
The 40-year-old was obviously pumped up for the game, and was caught giving one of his players a rather enthusiastic and quite foul-mouthed verbal rocket…
Despite a rather questionable win ratio no one can accuse Gary Neville of not caring 👊 #passion pic.twitter.com/PvyXLf8dhp

Espanyol had taken the lead on 52 minutes, courtesy of an Oscar Duarté header. However, goals from ex-Man City striker Alvaro Negredo and then one-time Liverpool target (and Real Madrid loanee) Denis Cheryshev giving Neville his first league win.
After the win, Jamie Carragher was quick to Tweet his old Sky Sports mucker a rather pertinent message…
“Denis Cherychev is Spanish for Mark Robins! Well done Gary!” — Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) February 13, 2016
While the victory will take a little bit of the pressure off the Valencia boss (his side climb to 11th in the table), he still has a long way to go to prove that he really is up to the job. At least he’s not lacking the passion!
