During the U16 Asian Football Confederation Championship clash between Uzbekistan and DPR Korea, Uzbek ‘keeper Jasurbek Umrzakov scored an incredible goal from inside his own box. However, ridiculous theatrics from his North Korean opposite number points to something rather dodgy in action.

Capture

Youngster Umrzakov’s punt flies over the head of Korean ‘keeper GK Jang Paek Ho who is inexplicably miles outside of his own box. His subsequent half-hearted attempts to stop the ball before it trickles into the net are simultaneously hilarious and appalling and very, very questionable…

Uzbekistan won the game which sees them face Iraq in the quarter-finals after topping Group D, with the North Koreans, who finished second in the group, set for an apparently easier game against Oman.

That apparently easier path to the semi-final is being touted as an alleged reason for the dodgy Uzbek goal and for the 3-1 defeat for North Korea itself.

All very odd (and entertaining!).
