One of the great purveyors of shithousing in world football, Portuguese hardman Pepe was at it again on Thursday with Besiktas, sent off after a shocking challenge.

During Thursday’s Turkish Cup clash between Besiktas and Fenerbahce, the former Real Madrid centre-half was it once again, this time receiving a deserved red after a wild studs-up lunge on Souza in the first-half…

We’re not really sure why any of his team-mates decided to argue with the ref, either.

However, that wasn’t the end of the drama on the night, with the clash at Ulker Stadyumu abandoned on 58 minutes after Besiktas coach Senol Gunes was hit on the head by a missile thrown from the stands.

Here is the unfortunate Gunes after receiving treatment, which included a number of stitches, in hospital..

Looks pretty sore to us…

Get well soon coach 🤕 🦅 @besiktas
