Cristiano Ronaldo’s technically perfect extra-time header was enough to snare the Copa del Rey in Real Madrid’s favour last night (their first since 1993), with Los Blancos running out 1-0 winners in the second of the four-strong Clasico slobberknocker in which we currently find ourselves.

Sergio Ramos’ celebrations began with a rather elegant matador routine in the middle of the Mestalla pitch…

…before culminating by dropping the trophy itself from atop Real’s open-top bus as the squad paraded their trinket through the streets of the rain-soaked Spanish capital in the wee small hours of the morning…

The driver, along with a small phalanx of policemen, then had to curtail the convoy for several minutes and attempt to pry the mangled trophy from under the front bumper of his shiny white bus.

Nice one Sergio, Real’s first Copa del Rey for 18 years and you reduce to scrap metal within a matter of hours.

    Hahaha they just keep on celebrating even after he drops it. As much as I think Messi is better than Ronaldo, Messi wouldn’t have scored tht header.

  2. Soccer Professional says:

    This Ramos guy really is an awesome soccer player.
    We knew all along that Reals might and soccer prowess would overcome the negative “anti-soccer” tactics of Barcelona.
    It’s been clear to see for a long time that Real Madrid are soccer’s best team and will probably go on to win the soccer world series as well.

    @Dave
    Check out this clip of Messi scoring from a “Header” in the Champions League FINAL and then question his ability to score.

    @CF$

    Messi does that maybe 2 or 3 times a season. Cristiano Ronaldo does it as a habit.

  11. Torresmos says:

    Dave… you remind me of Terry Venables when commentating on the Champions Leage Final in Rome: “Messi couldn´t score a header even if you put a hat on him”. 5 minutes later he scored the second Barca goal being man-marked (I use this term loosely here) buy a midget called Rio Ferdinand.
    LEGEND.

  12. Luke says:

    ‘Soccer Professional’, apart from your continual insulting of Barcelona and what you call their ‘anti-football’ (which, ask anyone, is what Real Madrid display), the fact that you keep calling it ‘soccer’ and refer to Ramos as ‘This Ramos guy’ just make my hatred of you even more strong you repulsive Yank twat.

  13. Luke says:

    You are an insult to the name Luke

  14. The Truth says:

    F&*K Barcelona. they have a ton of money to buy even the FIFA.
