Crystal Palace’s woes continued with a disappointing 3-1 defeat against West ham on Saturday.

The Hammers were 2-0 up by half-time, courtesy of a superb volley from Mauro Zarate and a fine effort from Stewart Downing. The Eagles hit back early in the second period when Marouane Chamakh’s low drive beat Adrian in the Hammers’ goal but Carlton Cole’s goal just after the hour mark sealed the deal for an impressive West Ham side.

While Sam Allardyce will be delighted with his side’s potent attacking display, the powers-that-be at Palace need to find a permanent manager as soon as possible.
