Lille 0-0 Everton – Europa League Group H – 23rd October 2014
Everton produced a disciplned ad mature performance in France to keep their Europa League campaign well on the track.
The hosts were the better side in the first half with Liverpool’s on-loan striker Divock Origi always a threat. However, the Toffees stood firm and after the break, the introduction of Romelu Lukaku gave the visitors a spark up front.
Aiden McGeady went close for Roberto Martinez’s side but ultimately the sides would earn point each, which sees Everton top Group H, a point ahead of Wolfsburg.
