Everton 3-0 Lille – Europa League – 6th November 2014
First-half goals from Leon Osman and Phil Jagielka followed by a second-half strike from Steven Naismith secured a deserved 3-0 win for Everton on Thursday night.
The Toffees dominated the game against the Ligue 1 side with Aiden McGeady and Leighton Baines on the flanks created number chances. Lille, on the other hand, rarely threatened although on-loan forward Divock Origi did his best to make his mark against his future rivals. However, overall Roberto Martinez’s side were well worth the victory.
The win sees Everton top of Group H, a point ahead of Wolfsburg.
