It’s been confirmed that David Moyes has left West Ham today after six months in charge at the London Stadium.
Moyes took over in November on a short-term basis and subsequently guided the Hammers to Premier League survival, instilling a new flush of discipline and work ethic during his short stint.
Such was the Scotman’s impact, only yesterday did Hammers co-owner David Gold admitted that Moyes would be his ideal choice to lead the team next season.

“I would like to place on record my sincere thanks to David Moyes and his staff for achieving the target of keeping West Ham United in the Premier League.” – Joint-Chairman David Sullivanhttps://t.co/GOROcGkLyn

As such, Gold and Sullivan are now looking to appoint “a high-calibre figure” within “the next ten days” while Moyes becomes available on the very same day that former club Everton’s managerial post became vacant – in turn freeing up Sam Alladryce to return to his spiritual home (sort of) at West Ham.
