Aston Villa 3-2 Norwich City – Premier League – 5th November 2011
A good old-fashioned five-goal thriller unfolded at Villa Park on Saturday, with the home side coming out on top courtesy of their in-form forward line.
Darren Bent bagged himself a brace while Gabriel Agbonlahor netted one and set up both Bent’s goals to give Fabio Capello a timely reminder of the Villans’ potent attacking partnership.
Norwich’s goals came courtesy of a superb free-kick from Anthony Pilkington and a close-range header from Steve Morison, but the visitors couldn’t quite manage to level the game, leaving Villa (deservedly) to secure all three points.
