Ousmane Dembele is not having a particularly good time of it at the moment with regular rumblings that the French forward is rubbing people up the wrong way at Barcelona.
Indeed, Carles Puyol is the latest prominent Barca figure to publicly scold Dembele on the club’s behalf, urging the 21-year-old to “reflect and realise where he is” after several tales of poor punctuality and general slap-dash conduct hit the headlines recently.
Piled on top of that is a claim made in Bild that Dembele has been slapped with a €20,000 in Germany by his old landlord from his stint with Borussia Dortmund.
The newspaper have access to a court document which states that the player caused “considerable damage” to the rented property and then left it in “unfortunate condition” upon his departure.

Speaking to Bild, the property owner, 71-year-old Gerd Weissenberg, described the mess Dembele left behind for him to discover:
There was garbage and rubbish everywhere, there was rotten food in the fridge and the cupboards, a lot of old plastic bags on the floor, dry spots. There was a pile of unpaid bills behind the front door.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, Dembele didn’t return the keys, meaning Weissenberg was forced to change all the locks.
Unsurprisingly, the Barca-bound player didn’t leave a forwarding address either, meaning that the court are currently unable to send details of the lawsuit to him directly.
Typical bloody students multi-millionaire footballers with oodles of disposable income and precisely zero responsibilities.
