Fulham 2-4 Reading – Premier League – 4th May 2013
Nigel Adkins finally got his first taste of victory with Reading after 11 games, courtesy of a rather strange 4-2 win at Craven Cottage.
Five of the goals in the game came in an action-packed 21 minutes in the second half after Hal Robson-Kanu had put the Royals 1-0 up on 12 minutes from the penalty spot.
Robson-Kanu made it 2-0 on the hour-mark before Bryan Ruiz got one back for the Whites, only for Adam Le Fondre to restore the Royals two-goal advantage. Costa Rican aRuiz then netted again before Jem Karacan’s late strike sealed the deal for the relegated side.
If only Adkins’ charges could have produced some more results like this!
