In the final of the Audi Cup, Man City couldn’t once again hit the heights of their impressive 5-3 victory over AC Milan, instead going down 2-1 to Pep Guardiola’s European champions Bayern Munich.
Spanish hitman Alvaro Negredo did give the Premier League side the lead on the hour-mark, but playing on home turf, the Munich giants came back to lift the trophy, courtesy of a spot-kick from Thomas Muller and a strike from Mario Mandzukic.
