After their disappointing goalless draw against Southampton at the weekend, Manchester United got back to winning ways on Monday, courtesy of a much-improved performance away to Everton.
Paul Pogba produced a superb display against the Clarets, setting up both of United’a goals, the second of which was an absolute cracker from in-form winger Jesse Lingard.
Picking up the ball on the left, Lingard cut inside before unleashing a cracking curling effort which left Jordan Pickford with no chance.
That goal made it an impressive eight league goals for Lingard since the start of December.

Lingard’s stunning strike, on 81 minutes, came with the Red Devils already a goal-up, thanks to another fine effort from outside the box, this time via Anthony Martial.
The win sees Jose Mourinho and co. marginally close the gap on league leaders Manchester City to just the 12 points!
Sam Allardyce and Everton, on the other hand, stay ninth, after suffering a second consecutive league defeat.
