Congrats to Uncle Avram and his Pompey team (he said, through clenched teeth). God knows they deserve a break. Still, I can’t see them beating Chelsea in the final. However, I didn’t see them beating Tottenham either, so there you go. Shit happens.
Spurs had a shocking, hair-tearing day in front of goal with Peter Crouch particularly wasteful, although Crouch’s ‘goal’ should have stood – that was never a foul by Niko Kranjcar on David James; James knew it too. Crouch might have had a hat-trick, at least, but didn’t bring his shooting boots to Wembley. Bah.
And did it have to be Kevin-Prince Boateng to stick the knife in? Ex-Spurs player haunts Spurs shock (see Darren Bent). Not again.
