A late goal from Aaron Ramsey secured all three points for Arsenal against a well-organised Crystal Palace side at the Emirates.

Despite seeing the home side have most of the possession early on, it was Palace who opened the scoring on 35 minutes when Brede Hangeland headed home from a corner. However, another centre-half, Laurent Koscielny, levelled the scores just before half-time when he headed home from an Alexis Sanchez free-kick.

After the break, the Gunners huffed and puffed but it took until the dying minutes for the home side to get the winner, when Aaron Ramsey bundled the ball home after Julian Speroni had saved from Mathieu Debuchy. That goal came after Jason Puncheon had picked up a second yellow card and while the three points will be welcomed by Arsene Wenger, the Gunners will need to improve if they are to mount a serious challenge to the likes of Man City and Chelsea.
