As wrong, wrong, wrong as it sounds, Fulham’s 2011/12 season begins later tonight with a Europa League qualifier against Faroe Island part-timers NSI Runavik who have five of their first-string away on holiday at the moment and who’s XI tonight will consist of a teacher, a mortician and a trainee telephone salesman amongst others.
