Manchester City have been limbering up at Carrington ahead of their Europa League ’round of 16′ second-leg tie against Sporting Lisbon tomorrow and, as ever with City training sessions between October and May, it was a festival of questionable winter knitwear.

The session also saw Carlos Tevez returning to the first-team fold and begin getting back to grips with the sport he all-but ditched five months ago, with the Argentinian wastrel selecting a particularly becoming hat to wear to mark the occasion…

Carlos has that ‘trying out the new colostomy bag’ aura

“Jogging, ah yes, I remember jogging!”

“It’s all coming back to me now. These are footballs, right?”

“Feeeeel the burn”

“Oh yeah, there we go. Loose as a spruce goose!”

“What the hell is this liquid leaking out of my face? Oh. Of course. Sweat! Hello again old friend, it’s been a while”

Yaya and Mario are forced into an impromptu re-enactment of the terrifying final scene from ‘Don’t Look Now’…

…and Yaya takes it badly

“Hey Yaya, you really…err…how you say…’crapped it’ didn’t you?”

“Hello Sir, have we met?”

Just Joleon Lescott in a hat, not a lot more you can say about that really
