Denis Law - In between fruitful spells for Man City and Man Utd, the Lawman played in Italy for Torino, in the season of 1961-62. Although he played very well in Italy, he didn't settle and found scoring chances hard to come by (blame catenaccio) - the culture shock almost cost Law his playing career too, when in 1962 team-mate Joe Baker (pictured above, left, with Law) crashed the car they were both travelling in, because he had driven the wrong way around a roundabout in Turin.
