10 Brilliant Photos Of British Footballers Who Played Abroad
By Ollie Irish
John Charles - In this photo, you can see the great John Charles in action for Juventus, against Arsenal at Highbury in 1958. Charles is a bona fide Juve legend, and was once voted their best ever foreign player, ahead of greats like Zinedine Zidane and Michel Platini. The Welshman spent five years with Juve, in which time he scored 93 goals. In 2001 'Il Gigante Buono' ('The Gentle Giant', as he was known in Italy) became the first non-Italian inducted to the Azzurri Hall of Fame.

where is steve mcmanaman? he did won 2 european cup with madrid! wat a bias on this site!
It really does make you realise that there is not enough British players playing abroad now. I really think it would improve the english game as a whole.
also you do realise cunningham was going back to madrid, he was away on loan
How is it ironic that Cunningham’s car crash was in Madrid?
He was playing for Rayo Vallecano at the time a Madrid based club.
Poor Gazza, how soon they forget….
beckham shouldn’t be there, as he hasn’t genuinely played since he left england. sold a lot of aftershave though.
