Manchester City 4-2 Watford – FA Cup Fourth Round – 25th January 2014

Soccer - FA Cup - Fourth Round - Manchester City v Watford - Etihad Stadium

Tow goals down on the hour-mark, the all-conquering Man City were on the verge of a major cup shock exit against Watford. However, in the diminutive figure of Sergio Aguero, they have one of the very best strikers in the game and when needed, the Argentine hitman delivered the goods, netting a hat-trick as the Citizens eventually won 4-2. A superb first-half performance by the Hornets saw Fernando Forestieri’s low shot and Troy Deeney give them a 2-0 lead at the break, with the home side having a truly bad day at the office. Vincent Kompany and Pablo Zabaleta were sent on by Manuel Pellegrini at the break, for Micah Richards and Jack Rodwell and eventually, the Premier League side made their class count, with Aguero’s hat-trick and a goal from Aleksandar Kolarov securing a hard-fought 4-2 win.
