Champions League Group Stage Draw: Tottenham Draw Champions Inter, Man Utd & Rangers Together

Zis never gets old

Here’s the full draw for the group stage of the 2010-11 Chaaaaaaaaampions League:

Group A: Inter (the holders), Werder Bremen, Tottenham, Twente

Group B: Lyon, Benfica, Schalke 04, Hapoel Tel Aviv

Group C: Man Utd, Valencia, Rangers, Bursaspor

Group D: Barcelona, Panathinaikos, Copenhagen, Rubin

Group E: Bayern Munich, Roma, FC Basel, Cluj

Group F: Chelsea, Marseille, Spartak Moscow, Zilina

Group G: Milan, Real Madrid, Ajax, Auxerre

Group H: Arsenal, Shakhtar Donetsk, Braga, Partizan

So the balls have spoken – tough draw for Spurs, but there’s no doubt about the Group of Death: Group G. Poor Auxerre. Once again, Man Utd get a free pass. Barcelona too.

More reaction on Pies tomorrow, but feel free to comment here for now.

All of the English clubs will be feeling decent about that draw. As a Spurs fan, it could’ve been a lot worse. I can’t see us getting a result against Inter, and I think we’ll drop points against Twente and Bremen away from home, but you never know. Keep the faith, or whatever.

  2. No doubt Arsenal got the easiets group. Shakthar will be tricky but I can’t see them having any problems against the rest. Quite a few of the groups looks soft. Tournament won’t really kick off until the knockouts

  3. RicardoC says:

Braga and Benfica will pass, along with Arsenal and Lyon ;)

Braga have a great sense of football :)
Benfica have great players, and remember the game with Everton and Liverpool ??

  4. unitedfan says:
