Wayne Rooney’s autobiography slams David Moyes

_40355359_moyesandrooney203 ‘I would have gone almost anywhere just to get away from
David Moyes. If no-one had come in I would have joined
Newcastle,’ Wayne Rooney ‘wrote’ in My Story So Far, his autobiography serialised in The Daily Mail. Rooney continues: ‘To me he appeared overbearing; just wanting to control
people. I suppose being young and confident and playing for
England at 17, I wasn’t bothered about upsetting him or
answering back.’

Strong
words – I’m surprised that Rooney would want to burn his bridges with
Moyes. What does the young star gain by this criticism, other than a
few more book sales?
