He’s already got his own postage stamps, scented candles and plush toys but finally – finally! – Zlatan Ibrahimovic has an internet search engine to call his very own too.
Well, sort of anyway.
The Zlaaatan.com search site has been cobbled together by the SweetPop media agency and is actually little more than a skin over the top of Google with Zlatan’s name plastered across it.
However, the sole function of the search is to filter out all results except ones relating to Zlatan.
Here’s SweetPop creative director Andreas Killander to explain:
“Our search engine is linked to Google but all searches are Zlatan-related.”
“If you type Ferrari you find information on the Ferrari Zlatan. If you are looking recipe, you have Zlatan Burger!
“Zlatan is an idol. He is known to the world, which is why we chose him.
“We did not ask him for his permission, but we hope that he will see it as a fun experience.”
In short, it’s utterly, utterly pointless.
That said, since it’s launch on Thursday the Zlaaatan search has been used by over 100,000 people worldwide, so what do we know?
