Here it is folks: the Football Photo of the Year for 2011/12, as captured by Guardian and Observer lens-jockey Tom Jenkins…

Jenkins’s shot of the Swansea mascot looking decidedly unimpressed at being left out of the huddle was chosen by a panel made up of, among others, Sky Sports commentator Martin Tyler, chairman of the Football Writers’ Association Andy Dunn and last year’s winner Martin Rickett.
Far as we’re concerned, this photo was robbed…
