SPL Photos: St Johnstone 1-0 Aberdeen – Saints Stride Towards Top Six

By Ollie Irish

Cilian Sheridan’s 22nd-minute goal was the difference last night, as Saints continue to push for the sixth place currently occupied by Hearts (on whom they have a couple of games in hand).

There are five games left before the SPL split, when the top six separates from the bottom six, and it looks like Aberdeen will struggle to make the cut, much to the frustration of manager Mark McGhee, who cut a very frustrated figure at McDiarmid Park.
