Photos: Notts County 3-1 Lincoln – Magpies So Close To Promotion

By Ollie Irish

Only Rotherham’s 1-0 home win against Northampton prevented this from turning into a promotion party for County. The Magpies are so close to going up, and only a complete collapse – combined with four MASSIVE wins for Rotherham – would prevent them doing so; in effect nothing can stop them making it to League One. Maybe Sven and Sol should have stuck around?

Lee Hughes scored after 63 seconds to give County the lead, before Steven Lennon equalised, just three minutes later.

Lincoln’s Moses Swaibu was dismissed for a reckless foul before Graeme Lee headed home Craig Westcarr’s cross to make it 2-1. Delroy Facey added the icing with a goal three minutes from full-time.
