Atletico Madrid made light work of Lokomotiv Moscow to reach the Europa League quarter-finals, smashing five past their Russian hosts in the second leg to amass a yawning 8-1 aggregate victory.
Andrea Correa kicked off an impressive performance by opening the scoring in the 16th minute, only for Maciej Rybus to equalise for Lokomotiv four minutes later with a 25-yard stonker.
However, a tap-in from Saul Niguez and a brace from Fernando Torres quickly restored Atleti’s commanding lead before Antoine Griezmann came off the bench to ice the cake with a truly sumptuous effort.
It was that man Correa who laid on the assist, turning his man with a exquisite ‘sombrero’ touch before Griezmann applied the finish with a cutesy lob…
Good gracious, that was very nearly indecent.
