MLS Weekend Produces ‘Juggling Wonder Volley’ And Atrociously Crap Own-Goal (Videos)

By Chris Wright

There have been some absolute pearlers scored in the MLS so far this season, with Portland Timbers midfielder Darlington Nagbe adding his name to the list alongside Eric Hassli and Graham Zusi with a plum volley against Sporting KC on Saturday night…

Didn’t touch the floor till it hit the back of the net. Sweet.

However, for every John Beluschi there’s always going to be a Jim, and DC United’s Perry Kitchen (great name!) gloriously redressed the balance with an absolute shonker-of-a-shinner-of-an-own-goal against Philadelphia Union on the very same night…

Bloody awful.

the defending for the own goal was shocking. how is the crosser not closed down? even in my sunday league, you would be lucky to find that much space in the box.

Glad to have Pies back, most of my days have been pretty dull since.
