Auf Wiedersehen, Mad Jens Lehmann – we will miss your crazy ways (plus video clips of Jens’s maddest moments)
![]()
It seems that Mad Jens Lehmann is off to Borussia Dortmund this month, ending weeks of speculation that he would leave Arsenal after losing his place to Manuel Aluminium. The Bundesliga club claims that Lehmann has agreed terms with them, but there are still a few Is to be dotted and Ts to be crossed before the deal goes ahead.
I will miss Mad Jens. He’s fun to have around the place. Quite apart from his antics, he’s been a great ‘keeper for Arsenal and a worthy replacement for David Seaman. Let’s not forget that the German was Arsenal’s No.1 in every match during their ‘invincible’ 2003/04 season. He takes a lot of the credit for that achievement.
