FIFA Announce Puskas Award 2012 Shortlist: The Nominees Are As Follows…
By Chris Wright
The ten FIFA nominees for the Puskas Award 2012 (or ‘Goal of the Year’ if you’d prefer) have been announced, and the shortlist looks like this y’all…
1. Hatem Ben Arfa, NEWCASTLE vs Bolton…
2. Gaston Maella, NACIONAL POTOSI vs The Strongest…
3. Radamel Falcao, ATLETICO MADRID vs America de Cali…
4. Olivia Jimenez, MEXICO vs Switzerland…
5. Lionel Messi, ARGENTINA vs Brazil…
6. Moussa Sow, FENERBAHCE vs Galatasaray…
7. Miroslav Stoch, FENERBAHCE vs Genclerbirligi…
8. Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, GHANA vs Guinea…
9. Eric Hassli, VANCOUVER vs Toronto…
10. Neymar, SANTOS vs Internacional…
Strange that Papiss Cisse’s banana volley against Chelsea doesn’t get a look in. Seems like FIFA haven’t even chose the best Newcastle goal from last year, but hey ho, these things happen.
Neymar won the Puskas Award for 2011 with his tricky-dicky dash goal against Flamengo…
…and we wouldn’t be overly surprised if he wins it again this time round what with him being a bit of a FIFA darling – though our personal favourite of that particular batch is Gaston Maella’s instinctive, unorthodox scorpion volley.
Who are you backing for the 2012 gong Pies folk?

I would have chosen Cissé’s goal as well. From those on the list:
1.Maella
2.Falcao
3.Neymar
Stoch’s technique and the fact he pulled it off is immense but probably won’t get a look in.
I’d vote for Stoch, personally. I expect Neymar or Falcao to win it though.
Matty Burrows woz robbed
Got to be Falcao for me.
I was about to vent my outrage about the lack of Cisse, but I see you’ve mentioned it already. Therefore, I’m going to go for Hassli.
Dear Mr Neymar
Please come and play in England so I can watch you on the telly without arsing about on the internet.
Kind regards.
Falcao or Neymar for me
Falcao or neymar for me
What about crouch?
Hatem ben arfa
Funny thing is that this wasn’t even Neymar finest goal this year.
Hist best goal was this one:

Hatem Ben Arfa !
Are you kidding me guys? Eric ‘the f*ckin beast’ Hassli’s was the best. Maybe Falcao’s scissor.
Hatem Ben Arfa
Where is Pappis Cisse’s Goal v Chelsea????????
Hassli for sho or Badu’s rocket to me
Hassil, Sow, Falcao.
But the best i’ve seen this year is Taison’s volley

that is really special.
Did anyone catch Demba Ba’s header form outside of the box for Senegal? I forgot which country it was against but it was a real beauty, beastly. I can’t find the link either. Someone put it up if you may! I’d vote for that one.
All great goals no doubt, but my vote would go to Falcao. Unbelievable tekkers
Neymar makes Messi’s goal look like a tap in! It’s between him and Falcao.
Luis Suarez golazo from 45yard Vs Norwich ???
I’d go for Falcao. Naymar’s is great but the defending is terrible, the first guy doesn’t even make a challenge and the second guy doesn’t even know what the fuck is going on.
Neymar wouldn’t be scoring goals like that if he were playing in Europe.
Hassli! That volley is unbelievable! Not his first amazing goal either!
If Mealla doesnt win it and Messi/Neymar does, FIFA is probably corrupt.
(before Ibrahimovic)
i thought it was ben arfas goal against blackburn that was nominated? both are brilliant! so him with either of them! and that header from outside the box was awesome! that was cisse aswell though i think. should just be goals from newcastle players!
Agyemang Badu’s goal classic
