West Ham United 1-1 Queens Park Rangers – Premier League – 19th January
Harry Redknapp’s QPR remain unbeaten in 2013 after securing a decent point away at West Ham on Saturday.
Hoops’ new-boy Loic Remy marked his debut with a goal on 14 minutes after the French forward was set up by a fine Adel Taarabt pass. Indeed, the visitors looked a much better side with the former Marseille man in their ranks as they impressed in the first period.
However, after the break, the Hammers were far more dominant with Marouane Chamakh, Mohamed Diamé and Kevin Nolan all going close before Joe Cole, back where he started his career, finally levelled the scores on 68 minutes.
West Ham pushed for the winner but Harry’s Hoops stood firm and ultimately secured a very good point.
QPR stay bottom on 15 points, four adrift of Wigan, while Sam Allardyce’s West Ham are now 12th.
