Manchester City 2-0 Leicester City – Premier League – 4th March 2015
Man City kept the pressure on Chelsea at the top of the table despite a less-than-convincing home win against Leicester.
The goals for the Citizens came at the end of both halves, with David Silva prodding home just before half-time and James Milner netting after good wood from Jesus Navas. However, until Milner’s strike, the Citizens never looked home and dry, with Leciester always looking a threat. Riyad Mahrez did hit the post for the Foxes but ultimately the Citizens, who had Vincent Kompanty ‘rested’ for the game, did enough to stay in the hunt for the title.
Manuel Pellegrini’s men stay five points behind Chelsea, having played a game more while Leciester stay bottom and seven points from safety.
