A moment of magic from Philippe Coutinho helped see Liverpool through to the last eight of the Europa League after a 1-1 second-leg draw at Old Trafford on Thursday night.

The Reds took a 2-0 first leg advantage into the heavyweight clash with Manchester United, but found themselves a goal down on the night, via an Anthony Martial penalty. However, just before the break, Brazilian imp Coutinho conjured up a magnificent solo goal, skinning Guillermo Varela before lifting the ball over David De Gea…

It’s obviously something he’s been doing for years, judging by this video from a training game during his time at Inter Milan…


That wonder-goal killed off the tie, with United unable to get themselves back into it in the second-half. So while Jurgen Klopp’s Reds continue to progress, Louis van Gaal is left with yet another defeat to mull over.
