What a splendid victory for the Saints, achieved thanks to goals by Cillian Sheridan (on loan from Celtic – the Hoops will love that), Chris Millar, Liam Craig and Murray Davidson. Sasa Papac scored for the visitors, but an away win never looked likely after Saints went 2-0 up in the opening 12 minutes, and on a very heavy pitch.
So whilst it’s a bit of a spanking for Rangers, it’s nothing more than a wee dent in their title hopes. The Gers still have a ten-point lead over Celtic, and with a game in hand too, so the SPL trophy will surely have blue ribbons attached come the end of the season.
