When Lasse Vibe scored both his and Brentford’s second goal in the 81st minute at Loftus Road last night, a mini-exodus was sparked among the QPR fans, many of whom decided they’d witnessed enough misery for one evening and began to make their way homewards.
However, the Hoops weren’t quite dead and buried and, with the last few grains of sand slipping through the Boggle timer of fate, a goal apiece from Matt Smith (93rd minute) and Luke Freeman (94th) saw the home side salvage an unlikely 2-2 draw at the very death.
Emotions were understandably raw immediately after full-time, with QPR manager Ian Holloway reserving a few choice words for the “early leavers”…

Bless little Ollie. Juddering away on the verge of a tear-stained breakdown at all times.
