Edgar Davids Crystal Palace Bust-Up: Davids Is The Guvnor

By Ollie Irish

According to a popular red-top, Edgar Davids was at the centre of a “furious” bust-up at Crystal Palace’s training ground – and just to remind you, yes, it wasn’t a cheese dream you had: Davids does play for Crystal Palace.

According to the Sun:

“The Dutch hothead, 37, stunned players and staff by grappling with left-back Julian Bennett and shouting: ‘I’m the boss around here.’

“Tempers boiled over when Bennett, on loan from Nottingham Forest, blasted the veteran for giving the ball away in a practice session.”

Sounds a bit like when Paul Ince used to refer to himself to The Guvnor at Old Trafford, ie. the behaviour of an egotistical prick.

Tell you what though, Davids is obviously in good shape for his age:

Salmon-like! … though of course those glasses do make him look like a nonce.

Julian Bennett is from a very rough area of Nottingham, I’ll say no more.

I’ve heard Ajax have offered him a coaching role. As a Palace fan, i hope he takes it. The three times i’ve seen him play this year, he’s been the worst player on the pitch.
