Dario Conca Joins Chinese Side Guangzhou Evergrande, Becomes Third Highest-Paid Player In World Football
By Chris Wright
Chinese Super League side Guangzhou Evergrande have announced that they have completed a €10 million transfer for Dario Conca, an attacking midfielder from Brazilian side Fluminense (and 2010 Brazilian Player of the Year) which, you are probably thinking, isn’t altogether that startling in itself.
That is, until you catch wind of the personal terms that Conca has agreed to, which will see the 28-year old land a frankly ludicrous €26.5 million over the two-and-a-half years he’s signed up to at Evergrande – a wage that sees him third only to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the world football money-raking pecking order.
Nice work if you can get it, eh?
Somewhere, Emmanuel Adebayor’s ears are beginning to softly twitch…

i like the adebayor bit hahahahaha
Brazilians + money go hand in hand. Never ever sign a brazilian. About as loyal as a cat. Conca is really ambitious with this move, 2010 brazilian player of the year now playing in China. Shows how much he loves football doesn’t it.
