Tottenham Send Jermain Defoe ‘Good Luck’ Message By Hiring Out Toronto FC’s Advertising Boards (Video)

By Chris Wright

Having already scored twice on his maiden MLS outing last week to continue his streak of scoring on every single debut he’s made for every club he’s ever represented, it doesn’t look like Jermain Defoe is going to need much in the way of luck at FC Toronto.

Either way, the striker’s old club, Tottenham, sought to wish Defoe the best of luck in his new venture by sending him a message via the advertising boards during his home debut for the Canadian sideĀ at BMO Field against DC United yesterday…

And whaddaya know? Defoe scored again as Toronto beat DC by a single goal to nil.

A nice gesture for a top player – always gives it 100% whenever he plays.

    That’s capitalism for you.

Empathy & goodwill belong to individuals, you can’t expect business to do the same.
