By Chris Wright

The Sky Sports ‘breaking news’ ticker has farted into action this evening to proclaim that, according to Sky sources, Manchester City have lodged a £20 million bid for Aston Villa midfielder James Milner.

City are understood to have formally entered the bid for the 24-year-old on Tuesday evening, and it has yet to be accepted or rejected by Villa.

Milner is currently in Austria, undergoing ‘altitude training’ sessions with the rest of England’s provisional World Cup squad.

…….ppphhhhhaaaahahahahahahaha. This city transfer comity is fantastic comedy value! Fantastic. I can just imagine Martin laughing his head off as he turns in his ikea swizzle chair, scrunches the fax into a ball and chucks it over his head to the recycling bin in the corner.

  2. Binnsey says:

He’ll be the first of the Villa exodus that sees an O’Neill-less Villains fall down the table. Sad but true. Milner, Young, Agbonlahor and O’Neill OUT, very little IN.
