Jack Rodwell Signs New Long-Term Deal At Everton
By Chris Wright
Highly-rated Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell has shunned the advances of Manchester United and Arsenal by agreeing to sign a new five-year, £30,000-a-week, contract at Goodison.
The 19-year-old has been the subject of relentless transfer speculation this season, which has seen the England U21 international linked with most of the Premier League’s elite at one point or another, but Rodwell has now joined spring-heeled midfielder Tim Cahill and young full-back Seamus Coleman in committing his long-term future to the Toffees.
