But four days after clipping home a business class scissor kick against Millionarios on Atletico Madrid’s friendly tour of Colombia, Falcao’s been at again – belting home another superb acrobatic effort in a 2-1 win over America de Cali…

Oh you little beauty.

(Thanks to Pies fan Nuno for the nudge)

Who goes on a post-season tour?! Surely they must be knackered!

  2. Joshua says:

Absolutely terrible marking. I’m guessing America de Cali wastes no time practicing defending corner set pieces

  3. Nuno says:

It’s South America, Joshua, they just don’t do defense around there (much like Brazil).
I believe they’ve went in this post season games for the money, and because few (or none) of their players are going to the World Cup, as they said they might be forced to sell players due to not qualifying to the Champions. (and these friendlies are in Falcao’s home country, so one more motivation for him to do this).
But this guy Falcao is just one of the best ‘pure’ strikers in the world IMO, he always gets himself in the right place, he won’t last long in Atletico.

    Holy cow…

  5. Scott Mac says:

@ Nuno agree with what you said, however you do realize Brazil is part of South America

  6. Nuno says:

@Scott Mac… erm, yes I do. I mentioned Brazil as a more clear example of a “defenseless” league, as I’m more used to seeing that league and the likes of Neymar doing whatever they want and no defense closing down on him (ok, I should’ve said “just look at Brazil”).

  7. George says:

this dude has something special going on right now and it has been a joy to watch. would love to see him in follow the path of another athletico striker, who set the record for fastest to 25 goals after moving to the EPL… without the 50 million L transfer and the goalless drought…
