Julio Cesar is an emotional man. He is prone to irrepressible bouts of acute melodrama. He cries. A lot.
He cried when Brazil lost to Holland. He walked home in floods of tears after Inter were beaten by Bayern Munich. He cried when he appeared on an Italian chat show. He wept when he left Inter Milan. He bawled uncontrollably once he realised he’d joined QPR.
Okay, that last one was a bit of a spoof, but you get the picture, no? The man is…sensitive.
With that in mind, Cesar’s short-term, three-month; seven-game loan stint at Toronto FC came to an end recently and, as you may well have fathomed, the Brazilian ‘keeper struggled (and failed) to keep a lid on his wibbly feelings while saying his goodbyes – which he did half-nude for some reason…
Note to self: Never watch The Green Mile with Julio Cesar without sticking a tarpaulin down first.
